FFXIV – Final Fantasy XIV – 6.51 – How to get ilvl 650 gear with almost no effort

This one is pretty easy actually. But pay attention, because the exchange process is a bit tedious.

All you need is …

  • access to Radz-At-Han
  • Gil: to buy gear in case you lack a piece or all pieces
  • enough Allagan Tomestone of Casualty, but there is no weekly cap on them so you can just grind it all out as needed

Let’s see how you can do this.

Step 1: Prepare the gear pieces you will “upgrade”

  • Get some HQ 640 gear you can exchange using this guide. You can buy it from market too: Diadochos, ilvl 640, make sure it’s HQ. Feel free to check out Universalis to find the cheapest offer. You can travel to other servers on your datacenter using “Visit another world server” at the Aetheryte in Limsa Lominsa, Ul’dah and New Gridania.
  • Make sure you have enough Casualty tomestones.

If you have materia melded in your soon-to-be-exchanged gear, you can remove them. Otherwise you will just lose them.

Step 2: Head to Radz-at-Han

  • Head to Radz-at-Han and go to “Rashti” <Token Exchange>. X 10.8 Y 9.9
  • First, you will need to use “Rain Exchange”.
  • Get Divine Rain. But, how much do you need?
  • Weapons: 7
  • Gear:
    • Head: 3
    • Upper-body: 5
    • Gloves/hand: 3
    • Lower-body: 5
    • Shoes: 3
  • Accessories: 2 / each

So to upgrade a full set of ilvl640 HQ set to 650 HQ, you’d need: 30 Divine Rains. But you can always just go piece by piece, or a few parts at a time.

Step 3: Let’s get certificates

Okay, so you have your Divine Rain. Now unequip your pieces if you have them equipped. Now go into “Earn Hannish Certificates of Grade 3 Import (HQ)”. Pick your gear category, and just trade in your gear for these certificates.

Step 4: Finally, get that gear!

But you are not done yet! Now that you have your Divine Rain and certificates, you can finally get your pieces. Go into Purchase Augmented Diadochos Equipment and buy the pieces.

Don’t forget to meld materia into your new shiny gear pieces and weapon. What kind of materia does your class need? You can find the recommendation on The Balance‘s webpage. Move your mouse to Combat Jobs on the top bar, then pick your class. Go down a bit and you can find the “Stats & Materia” section.

I hope my guide helped your journey.
